Vacancy-City Council Seat
Public Notice: Notice of Vacancy and Appointment as Council Member for Seat D
Pursuant to Utah Code § 20A-1-510, White City hereby gives notice of a vacancy of council member for Seat D (At-large) due to Tyler Huish, the current Seat D Council Member, resigning his seat. The remaining term will be from September 3, 2026 through January 3, 2028 at 12:00 noon MST.
Individuals interested in being considered for appointment must meet the qualifications for office and submit their name to the Municipal Recorder for consideration. Applicants must:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a registered voter of White City.
- Be a resident of White City for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the appointment date of September 3, 2026.
- Not be currently disqualified from holding office by reason of a felony conviction, treason, or a crime against the elective franchise (see Utah Code § 20A-2-101.5 and Utah Constitution art. IV, § 6).
- Not have been declared mentally incompetent by a court.

- Letter of Intent Describing Why You Want To Be On the City Council
All applicants must make an appointment and declare their candidacy IN PERSON (BY APPPOINTMENT ONLY) with Diana Baun, at the MSD Offices in Taylorsville between Monday, July 13, 2026 and Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District Offices, 860 W. Levoy Dr., Suite 300, Taylorsville, UT 84123. The deadline to submit your name for consideration is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026. Names submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

The White City Council will interview candidates and select the appointee during the City Council Meeting to be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at 999 E Galena Drive, White City 84094.
